N°56 Acne Tincture

In 1773, a unique recipe for a medicinal paste – an infusion of herbs to aid in the treatment of skin inflammations – was compiled and added to the family recipe book. This is a modern interpretation of the very same ancient recipe, based on calendula and other valuable medicinal herbs. The No56 is a brown herbal infusion designed to calm irritated areas and rebalance the skin; a concentration of ancient knowledge.

Product history

The court healers of Russia always appreciated the true usefulness of herbs and medicinal plants. Under Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, a system of cultivation, collection and preparation of medicinal herbs was established. Meanwhile, the Apothecary Gardens, founded by Peter the Great to cultivate a collection of plants, attracted the world’s best doctors and botanists. At that time, our family lived in Poland, practicing medicine, and studying herbs.
